| Resumo: | O presente estudo propõe uma reflexão a respeito do voto evangélico nas eleições para a Presidência da República, no ano de 2018, em que foi eleito Jair Messias Bolsonaro. O objetivo geral consiste em identificar quais são os aspectos jurídicos no estado laico que podem ser verificados na relação entre a política e a religião, tendo como cenário de análise as eleições presidenciais de 2018. Os objetivos específicos da pesquisa são os seguintes: estudar o protestantismo na cultura brasileira; analisar o histórico da influência evangélica no sistema político brasileiro; e verificar de que maneira o voto protestante exerce influência na política brasileira. Reitera-se que a pesquisa se limita apenas ao período das eleições presidenciais do ano de 2018. Pretende-se responder à seguinte pergunta-problema: quais são os aspectos jurídicos verificados nas instituições protestantes com o voto dos seus membros para a escolha e decisão de um candidato à Presidência da República em 2018? Nesse momento, verificou-se uma ampla participação religiosa na política, com levantamento de pautas religiosas em propostas políticas além do crescimento do número de representações políticas evangélicas. Nesse sentido, o assunto é pertinente e relevante para o contexto contemporâneo, tendo em vista que a sociedade atual brasileira vive uma polarização política, notadamente em decorrência da aproximação gradativa entre a religião e a política, acarretando uma ameaça à democracia. O percurso metodológico se deu através de uma revisão bibliográfica, no intuito de assegurar um diálogo mais profícuo com as pesquisas científicas que abordam o tema, sobretudo nos últimos dez anos. Conclui-se que as eleições presidenciais de 2018 e o exercício do mandato do Presidente Jair Bolsonaro importaram em aproximações entre a política e a religião, verificando-se a influência direta do voto evangélico na política brasileira. |
| Resumo Alternativo: | The present study proposes a reflection on the evangelical vote in the elections for the Presidency of the Republic, in the year 2018, in which Jair Messias Bolsonaro was elected. The general objective is to identify what are the legal aspects that can be verified in the relationship between politics and religion, having the 2018 presidential elections as the scenario of analysis. The specific objectives of the research are the following: to study Protestantism in Brazilian culture; analyze the history of evangelical influence in the Brazilian political system; and to verify how the Protestant vote influences Brazilian politics. It is reiterated that the research is limited only to the period of the presidential elections of the year 2018. It is intended to answer the following problem-question: what are the legal aspects verified in the protestant institutions with the vote of its members for the choice and decision of a candidate for the Presidency of the Republic in 2018? At that moment, there was a wide religious participation in politics, with a survey of religious agendas in political proposals in addition to the growth in the number of evangelical political representations. In this sense, the subject is pertinent and relevant to the contemporary context, considering that current Brazilian society is experiencing a political polarization, notably as a result of the gradual approximation between religion and politics, resulting in a threat to democracy. The methodological route took place through a bibliographic review, in order to ensure a more fruitful dialogue with scientific research that addresses the subject, especially in the last ten years. It is concluded that the 2018 presidential elections and the exercise of the mandate of President Jair Bolsonaro brought closer relations between politics and religion, verifying the direct influence of the Evangelical vote in Brazilian politics. |
