This work aims to present the current dynamics between neo-Darwinism and Intelligent Design Theory (ID). An analysis of the narrative of both lines of thought shows an influence in the university field. Both lines of thought, if not considered, can harm the scientific process. For an analysis of the main epistemological bridges and frontiers, we sought to analyze the historical aspect from Antiquity to the current scenario of how these competing sources of thought can be understood. This work is divided into three chapters, each chapter containing three subsections. The first chapter forms the approach of neo-Darwinism, with a historical and epistemological trace, the same procedure occurs with ID. The last subsection of the first and second chapters address the contributions and limits of each narrative. In the third and last chapter, these views are analyzed from the perspective of the university field and the scientific knowledge of this space. For this, the methodologies of Maingueneau, Bruner, Lakatos, Popper and Freire were used. Being the same inclusive regarding narrative participation in the university but respecting the proper fields and their essences of study. It was possible to perceive those narratives have their space, but if not aligned and reduced to their own field of action, this narrative can influence or even retain fields that should not belong to anyone, such as the field of science.pt_BR
No terceiro e último capítulo esses panoramas são analisados desde a perspectiva do campo universitário e o saber científico nato desse espaço.
