INFLUÊNCIA DO ENSINO RELIGIOSO NO DESENVOLVIMENTO SOCIAL DOS/AS ESTUDANTES DO ENSINO FUNDAMENTAL

Abstract

At school, the formation of critical thinking is sought, influencing the way the student understands the belief. Such influence may arise due to religion, through dogmas and beliefs to which the individual is subject. Therefore, this study aims to analyze how Religious Education affects the social development of elementary school students. As specific objectives, it also intends: to develop bibliographical research, to understand which paths lead Religious Education to influence the formation of students; analyze the legal support that, throughout history, guided Religious Education; understand how Religious Education is applied at UMEF Gil Bernardes, in Vila Velha (ES), to understand if such school is in line with the consulted bibliography and with the legislation. The problem-question to be answered at the end of the work proposed here is: which values and teachings, transmitted in Religious Education classes, are favorable to the formation of a free citizen aware of the problems of his time and place? This study finds justification in the need to try to discover what kind of influence Religious Education, taught in the aforementioned school, exerts on the behavior of students. The work is carried out in two stages: the first consists of a bibliographic survey about the history of religions and the behavior of society. The second, of a practical nature, consists of the application of field research, through which elementary school students will reveal whether they really assimilate the religious and ethical values passed on by the aforementioned curricular component. As for the “locus” of the research, this will be the UMEF Gil Bernardes, as it is the unit in which this researcher works in the educational area, exercising this leadership role. Regarding the universe and the sample, the universe will be composed of 9th grade students, enrolled in Religious Education, in the aforementioned Municipal Elementary Education Unit. As for data collection, in view of the pandemic, it was decided to invite two teachers of Religious Education, asking them to apply some online exercises, so that the influence of Religious Education on development could be better analyzed. of Elementary School students.
