MORAL CRISTÃ E EDUCAÇÃO FÍSICA: DA REFORMA DO ENSINO PRIMÁRIO DE 1882 À BASE NACIONAL COMUM CURRICULAR DE 2017

Abstract

The research takes as a theme the influence of the moral of the Christian faith in physical education teaching programs in the Technical Opinion about the Primary Education Reform proposed by Rui Barbosa on September 12, 1882 to the Chamber of Deputies and, posteriorly, in the National Common Curricular Base in 2017. Therefore, this study presents the political, educational and, mainly, religious scenarios perceived in the Brazilian 19h century. The general aim of this study is to analyze the influence of the Christian Morality in Rui Barbosa’s thought in producing the physical education teaching programs proposed in the Technical Opinion about the Primary Education Reform in 1882 and to inquire the reflection of this Technical Opinion in the National Common Curricular Base of the physical education for the Elementary School: initials years. Discussions were held in order to ascertain whether Christian morality was present in the physical education teaching programs of the Technical Opinion as well if this Technical Opinion reached the Physical Education BNCC for the Initials Years of Elementary School. Regarding to the methodological procedures of this investigation, a bibliographical and documentary study was implemented, with a qualitative approach. The detailed study of historical documents was conducted through Content Analysis by Laurence Bardin. The results of the research revealed that of the holy book of Christians appeared in the physical education teaching programs proposed in some documents, so that, this curricular component allows to recognize the learning about moral values and supports the affective awareness. The research concluded that there are evidences of the influence of the moral of the Christian faith in teaching programs of the Technical Opinion. This Christian morality was reflected in the BNCC, therefore, in the light of the moral of the Christian faith, the Christian principles, values and rules promoted to the students can favor the charitable attitudes, love, respect to the difference, tolerance and coping the discrimination.
