ENSINO RELIGIOSO NA PERSPECTIVA DA LEGISLAÇÃO

Abstract

This research sought to address the laws that version on Religious Education in Brazil, from colonial Brazil to the present day. Its general objective was to bring a discussion around legislation pertinent to Religious Education at the national and local level, that is, Brazil and the municipality of Vila Velha-ES, seeking to point out some actors involved as managers, teachers and students. The specific objectives revolved around: researching national laws on Religious Education; study the Religious Education legislation in the municipality of Vila Velha-ES. It points out laws and legal parameters in the pedagogical scope of the Religious Education for managers, teachers and students. The problem question was: What legislation did Religious Education go through in Brazilian education from the colonial period to the year 2020? The study took place through bibliographic survey and document analysis. Its structure has three chapters, the first of which presents works that discuss the perspective of Religious Education legislation in Brazil, in the second an analysis from the point of view of managers and teachers in terms of legislation and also in the preparation of the curriculum of the discipline / area of knowledge of Religious Education in public schools, the third deals with the legislation of the Religious Education in relation to the student, addressing a discussion of the curriculum in general and a small section of the curriculum of the municipal school system in Vila Velha-ES. It is concluded that despite the dichotomies and challenges of the Religious Education throughout Brazilian education and that the maintenance of this curricular component in Basic Education is of its importance in the construction of citizenship, based on the discussion of human rights and freedom of belief and worship, but it is still a challenge to the school routine.
