Abstract

This study has as main objective to measure the effects, positive and/or negative, resulting from the field of influences between social networks and Religious Education, according to the opinion of Elementary School teachers, in Vila Velha (ES). Therefore, the problem question to be answered at the end of this study is: what is the perception of teachers in relation to YouTube as a didactic resource for mediation between Religious Education and Elementary School students? Among the arguments that justify the accomplishment of this work, it is that, from the angle of social relevance, the study is based on the belief that the school is one of the main vehicles of information in the different teaching and learning methods, and should be used to bring knowledge to students, and adhere to the modern tools that technology provides, which can be useful, as they allow to increase the teaching and learning process, making classes more attractive and facilitating teachers daily lives. The research still finds justification in the importance of looking for ways to analyze the effects of technological tools in the educational routine, aiming to identify the most relevant aspects, to motivate the positive points, and to minimize the negative points, which, certainly, will confer greater effectiveness to that process. From a theoretical and methodological point of view, this research also finds justifications for its realization in the importance of knowing the local effects of the field of influences between YouTube and Religious Education, with regard to Elementary Education, in the municipal schools of Vila Velha (ES). With regard to methodological aspects, this study was carried out by combining theoretical and bibliographic research and field research with teachers belonging to the municipality of Vila Velha (ES). For this, the following lines of study were used: bibliographic research and field research. As for the methodology, this study consists of a quali-quantitative research, being classified as quali-quantitative, due to the objectives, whose classification is applied because it provides greater intimacy with the problem.
