A CONTRIBUIÇÃO DA IGREJA EVANGÉLICA DE CONFISSÃO LUTERANA NO BRASIL PARA O DESENVOLVIMENTO DO PROCESSO EDUCACIONAL NO MUNICÍPIO DE DOMINGOS MARTINS - ES

Abstract

This research seeks to analyze the influence or participation of the Evangelical Church of the Lutheran Confession in Brazil in education in the city of Domingos Martins, state of Espírito Santo. Firstly, it seeks to understand the immigration process of Espírito Santo, a period dated between the 19th and the 20th century, by elucidating the arrival of European and Portuguese immigrants to supply the demand for labor and occupy spaces; the creation and development of the Colony of Santa Isabel and the arrival of Lutheran and Calvinist evangelicals in Campinho, current city and Domingos Martins. In a second moment, it reflects on the Evangelical Lutheran population in the state, through the educational processes of these subjects until 1938 (Nationalization of Education) and the structuring of the Lutheran community of Domingos Martins, after 1938. As a research instrument, qualitative research was used, aiming at a descriptive study of the perceptions of education professionals about the purpose of the study; formed by the sample of 15 (fifteen) participants. In the third moment of the research, it is reflected on the data collected through interviews with education professionals, in the second semester of 2019. It is noted in the descriptions of education professionals, that currently, there is no punctual influence and / or participation IECLB in the discussions on public / official education of Domingos Martins / ES citizens. The dissertation concludes that the IECLB played a considerable role in the education of the population studied during the immigration phase, however, today it influences and participates little in the public / official educational context. The influence of the Lutheran church occurs through non-formal educational spaces, that is, through investment in music, dance and also by encouraging bilingualism (German and Portuguese and / or Portuguese and Pomeranian). The applicability of the research points to the importance of contextual excursions and history classes for elementary school, highlighting the importance of the IECLB in the socio-historical-educational development of Domingos Martins. Furthermore, knowing the development of local history is essential for the performance of the teacher/pedagogue.
