Resumo Alternativo: The current Brazilian reality shows a significant increase in the influence of evangelical churches in the political sphere. Its representatives advance with their electorate coming from their pastoral domains, winning elections with platforms of government based on beliefs of evangelical slope. This fact has influenced not only the increase in the number of representatives of the evangelical world in the Brazilian parliament, but also an increase in the influence of the country's legislative directions, where religious alliances and activism have been influential in the political-electoral process. The observation of this phenomenon indicates a significant change not only numerical in relation to the number of parliamentarians who identify themselves as evangelicals. It also influences in the context of Church versus State relations, since it brings to the fore ethical and social issues related to rights and citizenship, since the action of these parliamentarians influences in the legislative sphere and in the conduct of contemporary subjects related to the rights of each Brazilian individual under doctrinal-ideological point of view in favor of morality and customs defended by a specific theological reading of the evangelical world. With the eye in the reality described above, this dissertation had as general objective to analyze the relation religion and politics from the analysis of the discourse of two important and influential leaders of the Brazilian evangelical world that were chosen in function of its popularity and of being opinion formers in the evangelical world and beyond it. Videos of the evangelical leaders Marco Feliciano e Silas Malafaia, available on the internet, were analyzed. From the perspective of the discourse analysis of the French school, the speeches of these evangelical representatives were analyzed and it was possible to identify notions such as: control, selection and validation of rules. The first chapter analyzed the socio-cultural issues with primacy for Brazilian religious and cultural plurality. The second chapter focused its analysis on issues of citizenship, religiosity and ideologies. The third chapter was devoted to the discourses of the two evangelical leaders. The conclusion points to the need for continuous reflection on the influence of leaders who call themselves the savior of the motherland through a discourse of seduction and intimidation.
