EDUCAÇÃO CRISTÃ NAS ASSEMBLEIAS DE DEUS: UMA ANÁLISE DA ESCOLA DOMINICAL A PARTIR DA PEDAGOGIA DE PAULO FREIRE

Abstract

An analysis of Christian education in the assemblies of God, with a special focus on the Sunday School from the pedagogy of Paulo Freire, is the basis that constitutes the present work. During this construction, it becomes known the history of the Sunday School, from its origin, its historical evolution to the present day, showing the conquests and advances, from the numerical, geographical expansion and its literary creation. As well as a bibliographical study of Freirean pedagogy, of the thought of Paulo Freire and the construction of this thought throughout history, considering its influence today for education. In the first chapter, the objective was to present a summary of the history of the Sunday School, from its beginning to the current situation, its target audience, the didactic structure of the material used and the teacher training that has taught at the School Sunday. It also focuses on the existing structure, analyzing positive and negative points. The second chapter emphasizes Freirean pedagogy, such as the influence of the man and the educator Paulo Freire, his pedagogical contribution to Brazilian education, the greatness of the method and the results with the implantation of the same in secular schools. The third chapter brought a clear distinction between formal education and non-formal education. The structure of a formal education and its benefits, such as the chances of failure in a non-formal education. Further on the pedagogical training of Sunday School teachers and the need for a good formation for the exercise of educative action with success, as well as their responsibility in the teaching-learning process and in the transformative action both individual and social situation of the educator and consecutively in the environment in which he / she is inserted. All the work has as methodology the bibliographic study, using scientific sources that are condition of analysis within the scientific standards necessary for the development of a serious and reliable work.
