Título: USOS E COSTUMES NO PENTECOSTALISMO: ANÁLISE DO DISCURSO ASSEMBLEIANO SOBRE OS MEIOS DE COMUNICAÇÃO

Resumo: A análise dos discursos quanto aos usos e costumes das Assembleias de Deus tendo como ênfase o discurso do uso dos meios de comunicação, é a base que constitui o presente trabalho. A pesquisa foi feita por meio das bases estabelecidas pelo referencial da Análise do Discurso. Por meio de um estudo bibliográfico o trabalho apresenta as origens das Assembleias de Deus, bem como as origens, a sedimentação e as disputas internas dos comportamentos e hábitos. Observa-se por meio da Análise do Discurso a ideologia presente nos discursos referente a prática comportamental da denominação, as características dos discursos e a existência de práticas manipulativas. A dissertação está dividida em três capítulos, sendo composto cada um de cinco subtítulos. Com exceção da introdução que objetivou apresentar a estrutura do trabalho em si e a conclusão que dá o fechamento. No primeiro capítulo, o objetivo é demonstrar as origens das Assembleias de Deus em Belém, estado do Pará. Enfatiza também sobre os conceitos de usos e costumes, sobre as origens dos comportamentos e práticas da denominação que teve como ideologia manter-se separado dos demais grupos que compunham a sociedade de Belém. O capítulo teve como foco ainda a análise sobre o surgimento e poder dos meios de comunicação. A análise se fez necessária devido ser esse o objeto da pesquisa. No segundo capítulo, o foco é na compreensão da Análise do Discurso de linha francesa e seus conceitos. Relatando sobre a importância da Análise do Discurso para compreender os discursos das Assembleias de Deus frente ao uso dos meios de comunicação, uso que é regulamentado dentro das práticas comportamentais da denominação. O capítulo observou as características de um discurso religioso, fazendo um exame específico da manifestação desse pelos meios de comunicação. O terceiro capítulo, trouxe a identificação da ideologia de um viver em santidade que estava presente em todos discursos dos líderes das Assembleias de Deus quando defenderam a inserção dos usos e costumes. Ainda nesse capítulo, houve a demonstração da prática manipulativa usada pelos líderes em cada discurso sobre o uso dos meios de comunicação. A demonstração foi feita analisando os discursos das Convenções Gerais das Assembleias de Deus do ano de 1937 e 1975 e do discurso do ELAD (Encontro de Líderes das Assembleias de Deus) do ano 1999. Foi identificada também a característica de cada discurso. Por meio desta pesquisa foi possível a compreensão da importância da Análise do Discurso para examinar as origens, a sedimentação e as disputas internas quanto ao uso e costumes das Assembleias de Deus, analisando os discursos que inseriam tais costumes. A aplicação dos conceitos da Análise do Discurso tornou-se viável para fazer uma análise detalhada que se objetivava também em identificar as bases que se estruturaram os discursos dos líderes da denominação com fins de induzir e sedimentar as práticas da comunidade religiosa.
Resumo Alternativo: The analysis of the discourses on the uses and customs of the Assemblies of God, with emphasis on the discourse of the use of the means of communication, is the basis that constitutes the present work. The research was done through the bases established by the Discourse Analysis framework. Through a bibliographical study the work presents the origins of the Assemblies of God, as well as the origins, the sedimentation and internal disputes of the behaviors and habits. It is observed through Discourse Analysis the ideology present in the discourses referring to the behavioral practice of the denomination, the characteristics of the discourses and the existence of manipulative practices. The dissertation is divided into three chapters, each composed of five subtitles. With the exception of the introduction that aimed to present the structure of the work itself and the conclusion that gives the closing. In the first chapter, the objective is to demonstrate the origins of the Assemblies of God in Belém, state of Pará. It also emphasizes on the concepts of customs and customs, on the origins of the behaviors and practices of the denomination that had as ideology to keep separated from the others groups that made up the society of Belém. The chapter also focused on the analysis of the emergence and power of the media. The analysis was necessary because this is the object of the research. In the second chapter, the focus is on understanding the French Speech Discourse Analysis and its concepts. Reporting on the importance of Discourse Analysis to understand the discourses of the Assemblies of God regarding the use of the media, a usage that is regulated within the behavioral practices of the denomination. The chapter observed the characteristics of a religious discourse, making a specific examination of the manifestation of this by the means of communication. The third chapter brought the identification of the ideology of living in holiness that was present in all discourses of the leaders of the Assemblies of God when they defended the insertion of customs and customs. Yet in this chapter, there was demonstration of the manipulative practice used by leaders in each discourse about the use of the media. The demonstration was made analyzing the speeches of the General Conventions of the Assemblies of God of the year 1937 and 1975 and the speech of the ELAD (Meeting of Leaders of the Assemblies of God) of the year 1999. It also identified the characteristic of each discourse. Through this research it was possible to understand the importance of Discourse Analysis to examine the origins, sedimentation and internal disputes regarding the use and customs of the Assemblies of God, analyzing the discourses that inserted such customs. The application of the concepts of Discourse Analysis became feasible to make a detailed analysis that was also aimed at identifying the bases that structured the discourses of the denomination leaders in order to manipulate and to sediment the practices of the religious community.
