Resumo Alternativo: The synthesis of the Professional Master's dissertation in Religious Sciences is presented, whose title is: Religious Education and Secularity: what do students of the UMEF Antônia Malbar school in Vila Velha-ES, think about the subject, whose central question is to answer : what do students think about Religious Education classes in the 3rd and 4th year classes of Elementary School at UMEF Antônia Malbar, in the academic period from 2021 to 2022? In this way, it is intended to understand what the students of the UMEF Antônia Malbar , located in the municipality of Vila Velha-ES, think about the Religious Education classes and the practice applied in the classroom with regard to secularism, through the paths of Religious Education in the history of education, seeking to respond through bibliographical survey and reports of students' experiences, based on authors such as: Emerson Silveira, Rubens Alves, Demerval Saviani, Sérgio Junqueira and Marilena Chauí, who offer contributions on the curriculum of education and the curriculum of Religious Education, as well as the concepts of secularism, culture and multiculturalism, underlie the theoretical framework of this study, which was Organized into three brief chapters. It provides an opportunity to build a work that reflects the beauty of working with qualitative data that underlie the experiences that students bring with them through their speeches and records. In this way, it is concluded, articulating the students' thinking in relation to the themes that involve Religious Education at school, that, despite the turnover of teachers and the challenges in the classroom, UMEF Antônia Malbar has sought to develop dialogic and reflective practices with the students, working on their criticality and autonomy, having in the profile of the Religious Education teacher the perspective of multiculturalism, respecting the student's perspective in relation to Religious Education at school.

Resumo Alternativo: The present work of Conclusion of the Professional Master in Religious Studies seeks to answer the following question-problem: How to elaborate a proposal for continuing education for teachers and that promotes respect for religious diversity in the school context of the School in question? The general objective of the research is to present a proposal for integrated continuing education for elementary school teachers, about religious diversity within the Municipal School of Basic Education "Pedro Milaneze Altoé", in Vargem Alta-ES. The methodology used, first, was bibliographic and documentary, in order to verify approaches about respect for religious diversity and in laws or regulations that regulate national and documentary education in specific documents of the Municipal Department of Education and the researched School, as well as challenges around legislation, programs and curricula on continuing education in the context of religious diversity. Subsequently, aiming at the training proposal, an action research was carried out, showing specific guidelines around a strategic planning, which allowed a global and partial view of the procedures to be developed. The research presents a proposal for teacher training that makes it possible to build pedagogical actions aimed at respecting religious diversity, focusing on interdisciplinarity between all curricular components, and not only Religious Education. The objective is to change paradigms and pedagogical practices in the school context, in addition to promoting respect for student religious diversity, contributing to the development of the student, pointing out ways to develop training themes in this context and fulfilling the contemporary demand. of that theme. There are few training approaches already structured in the context of current public policies. The cultural and religious diversity of Brazil requires training actions in the school space, involving all curricular components, for the construction of a secular school, solidary and respectful of the diversity of religious belief.

Resumo Alternativo: This research approaches Social Work, as a secular profession, working in therapeutic communities for the treatment of chemical dependence and how religion influences the treatment offered in these spaces. On that, the researcher tried to answer how religion is manifested in treatment by therapeutic communities accredited to the Rede Abraço Program, a government program in the State of Espírito Santo, Brazil. The hypothesis is that therapeutic communities use a hybrid model of therapeutic resources, partly based on science and partly on religious therapeutic resources, so that there is an influence of religion in the treatment offered to the person attended by these institutions. Its general objective was to propose an intervention plan for the Social Worker, inserted in these spaces, which guarantees the service follows the professional ethical-political project and assist in carrying out activities that stimulate the spirituality of the attended individual, without being linked to a particular religious context. Therefore, it is necessary to present the history of Social Work in Brazil from the religious context; show the therapeutic community for the treatment of chemical dependence as a field of work for the social worker and observe how religion is applied within therapeutic communities. The research used the theoretical fields of Sociology of Religion and Psychology of Religion to present the concepts of religion and spirituality that underlie the debate; uses the book “Compêndio de ciência da religião” as a theoretical source to reference the area, as well as researchers in the field of Social Work, such as Marilda Vilela Iamamoto and Raul de Carvalho. The researcher also carried out ethnographic research in the observation of the manifestation of religion in therapeutic communities. The research results indicate that, even linked to a government program and that, therefore, they must avoid religious proselytism, the therapeutic communities accredited to the Rede Abraço Program emphasize religion in the treatment offered to chemical dependents.

Resumo Alternativo: We cannot fail to defend the idea that Religious Education teachers need a theoretical and epistemological basis for a practice committed to reflective teaching. Thinking about the importance of Religious Studies and its relation with Religious Education is challenging, since it establishes a new curricular model based on academic and scientific criteria. Such understanding is allowed through João Décio Passos, who offers us an epistemological and pedagogical model, the Sciences of Religions, with theoretical and methodological basis for Religious Education. The initial and continued formation of teachers needs to break with the fragmentation of knowledge and the isolation in teaching. It is necessary to build a new professional culture woven in the values of collaboration, for an educational and social transformation that seeks to avoid curricular fragmentation. According to Francisco Imbernón, we must combat isolation and individualism and promote collaborative training. The analysis arose from the problem: why hasn't the Municipal Secretary of Education of Iguatu done any kind of teacher training for Religious Education teachers in the last 10 years? If the SME had done some kind of teacher training for this curricular component during this period, it would have strengthened the subject in the public schools of this municipality. The methodology for collecting data in this research was based on a combined approach of quantitative and qualitative methods, and the research instrument used for data collection was the questionnaire. The research made it possible to verify that the great majority of the teachers do not have initial training adequate to teach this subject and, that there was no disposition on the part of the SME in carrying out continued and/or permanent training directed to the teachers of this curricular component in order to solve the problem.
